SAWDC Worlds of Opportunity has a new look and we have adopted a digital and interactive format for our students for 2021.
Worlds of Opportunity will be an engaging experience to connect with our students that will appeal to their natural sense of exploration and play. This will be a cohesive experience to explore career pathways that will allow business and industry partners to create and provide a virtual experience that is interactive and will immerse the students in the career pathways.
Students will navigate through a virtual world that is accompanied by an activity box and on-demand videos that our sponsors will produce for the selected activities that best represent the worlds.
In addition to the virtual platform and activity box, there will be a companion app developed containing pre and post WOO related content with access to training, jobs and careers available within our region. It will contain features such as skills and interest assessments, videos, and much more!
This year’s event will be held during Career and Technical Education Month – February 2021 and we look forward to working with you and having you continue to partner with us to deliver interactive and hands-on experiences for our nine-county region of eighth graders.
We have a long-term goal of expanding this platform to all students and to serve the adult job seekers. It is through your sponsorship and partnership that this vision will come to life.
