Manufacturing Career Coach Day

You are invited to participate in a “Career Coach Day” hosted by the Alabama Iron & Steel Council (AISC) representatives and your colleagues in the education field as we explore various facets of Alabama’s iron and steel manufacturing sector.

The event, which will include a tour of the AM/NS Calvert manufacturing facility, is intended to provide you with educational information pertaining to Alabama’s iron and steel industry, including the manufacturing process, work environment, industry hiring trends and challenges, and career opportunities within the industry sector.

The AISC represents iron and steel producers and their supplier-vendor partners throughout the state. Additionally, the AISC is representative of thousands of jobs that routinely earn, on average, $30,000+ more than other manufacturing sectors annually.  During this planned event, AISC representatives involved in the hiring process will be on hand to present information, answer questions, and hold a robust discussion on how to best serve students who are preparing to begin their careers.
